Rabbi Dr. Rich Friedel, DM, PhD, ThD, MSM, CBHP, serves as the neurotheologist at the Friedel Clinic and as a rabbi at Joshua Bible College. His dedication to brain health began in 2003 after his mother's Alzheimer's disease was initially mistaken for normal age-related cognitive decline. That experience led Rabbi Rich to spend more than two decades studying brain health, cognitive decline, and the relationship between brain function, behavior, faith, and purpose. After completing a 50-credit-hour postgraduate education program through Amen University, he became a Certified Brain Health Professional and helped expand the Friedel Clinic's services into brain health. Rabbi Rich is the developer of the Seven Pillars of Neurotheology. This framework connects a healthier, more balanced brain with increased brain reserve, broader perception, reduced fear, spiritual understanding, and the discovery of life's meaningful purpose. His mission is to help individuals better understand and strengthen their brains, because a healthier brain can lead to a healthier and more purposeful life.
